O'Grady Loretta
Loretta O’Grady is Chief Medical Scientist of the National Newborn Bloodspot Screening Laboratory, Department of Paediatric Laboratory Medicine, Children’s health Ireland, Dublin. She Graduated from the Polytechnic of Central London and then University of Ulster, Northern Ireland. She has worked in St Thomas Hospital, London in both endocrinology and biochemistry laboratories. Returning to Ireland she worked in St James Hospital, Dublin specialising in porphyria and catecholamine’s analysis.
Loretta is also a subcommittee member of the Irish national screening advisory committee and has contributed to recent health technology assessments to inform decisions on expanding newborn screening in Ireland.
