Ian Hutton is a Senior Product Specialist at Waters, focusing on OMNI-Lab, a specialized NBS LIMS. He collaborates with customers to enhance their laboratory workflows, leveraging his deep understanding of screening processes. His role at Waters has given him insight into the vast variability in laboratory screening workflows, despite the consistency of core screening principles.

Before joining Waters, Ian spent a decade as a Senior Clinical Scientist at the Southeast Thames NBS laboratory at St Thomas’ Hospital, London. As the core user of OMNI-Lab, he played a pivotal role in redesigning laboratory workflows, earning a Quality Improvement award for streamlining processes.

When he's not immersed in NBS screening, Ian enjoys mastering new magic tricks, coaching rugby, or engaging in a competitive board game.
