Lene Sörensen is the head of operations at the Centre for Inherited Metabolic Diseases (CMMS) at Karolinska University Hospital in Sweden. In combination with this role, she has taken a special interest in the Swedish newborn screening program, the PKU biobank, and quality registries. Her educational background consists of a Degree of Master of Science (one year) in molecular biology from Umeå University and a Licentiate of Medical Science in molecular genetics from Karolinska Institutet, as well as various leadership and mentorship programs.
