Tomas Honzik graduated from the School of General Medicine, Charles University in Prague and he is board certified in paediatrics, medical genetics and clinical nutrition. Since graduation he has been working in the Department of Paediatrics and Inherited Metabolic Disorders. He has a long-term clinical and scientific expertise in paediatrics and genetic. He is an internationally recognized expert in the field of Inherited Metabolic Disorders and an active member (subnetwork coordinator for glycosylation disorders) in the European Reference Network on Hereditary Metabolic Disorders (MetabERN). He is also interested in newborn screening for inherited metabolic disorders.
